The Miss Firecracker Contest," written by Beth Henley,is a play set in Brookhaven, Mississippi, during the Fourth of July celebration. It centers on Carnelle Scott, an orphan raised by her aunt, as she attempts to reclaim her reputation and win the Miss Firecracker contest. The contest is a beauty pageant held annually in the town.Rated PG.
